This panoramic picture shows the back of the house although this used to be the front entrance for a couple of hundred years. The gazebo is a lovely place to sit and listen to the river and waterfall and a perfect venue for weddings.
Since this photo was taken the new extension has been built with additional rooms and facilities but discreetly lies to the left of the house without distracting the lovely old facade.
The new large pond behind where the photo is taken is a haven for frogs, newts and the occasional wild duck.
For anyone who loves tree ferns we have an extensive collection including a 4 metre Cyathea Cunningamii, a 4 metre Dicksonia Squarosa and a 3.5 metre Cyathea Medullaris, plus a fern walkway with some even more unusual varieties.
